Essay Topics About Robespierre
Essay Topics About RobespierreThe dilemma of selecting good essay topics about Robespierre was a dilemma for me too. I was faced with the problem of selecting and reviewing essay topics that were critical on Robespierre. However, these subjects were not the subject of the article because I was focusing more on his biography rather than on the reason for the Revolution. It is good to understand that Robespierre was known as one of the leaders in the revolution and the one who became the 'Bad Rob'. His faction was that which the people chose to support as opposed to those who led the revolutionary forces. He was also a man who believed in equality for all, even the poor who are part of the revolution. This could be a good topic for any type of essay that is on French history, as it would help the reader to understand why he was so vocal about equality. However, we can argue that it is a poor topic for an essay about Robespierre because Robespierre himself was not equal to the ideals he he ld. As one of the 'Bad Robs' of the revolution, he had many followers who believed they should have been the leaders of the revolution. They were fiercely loyal to him and did not consider the people of France to be equal to them, as they were born with higher-status than anyone else, a status that only existed because they lived in what Robespierre considered to be the correct class of society. In his own way, he was standing up for the men who had been excluded from this upper-class society due to their origins. However, his attitude towards those who were born in a poor family, he was not so willing to emulate them. He felt that they deserved what they came from and should not expect to have the same success as those who were born with a better family background.I think that this explains why some good essay topics about Robespierre can be found in other countries. One of the best essay topics I came across was a forum on Napoleon Bonaparte. In this article, there was a very detai led discussion of Napoleon's 'bad side' in regards to Robespierre's side, which will be a good topic for an essay about Robespierre.Other essay topics that are worthy of consideration for the subjects of Robespierre and equality are Thomas Paine, William Lloyd Garrison, Robert Louis Stevenson, Alex Haley, George Bernard Shaw, Abraham Lincoln, Edmund Burke, or any of the other greats of the English novel. For a student, there are many essay topics about French literature which are quite relevant to the subject matter of Robespierre and his revolutionary movement.Although, by no means is equality the only goal of the revolution, it does show how interesting the topic can be. And to illustrate just how important the topic, in fact, an e-book has already been created by a group of students and instructors and is available online.
